Origins
Most of the Zulu population lives in a region in south Africa called Kwa-Zulu-Natel while the rest live throughout South Africa. Kwa-Zulu-Natel is located on the eastern side of South Africa, on the coast of the Indian Ocean and bordering Zimbabwe. In Kwa-Zulu-Natel, the dominant languages are Zulu (or isZulu) and English. Also, everyone name means something and can relate to the past, present , or future (For example, The woman's name was Yesterday in the movie), and their language is identified from words that describe life. Now for their religion, they believe that the spirits of their ancestor are really important and offerings and sacrifices are made to make sure that the spirits protect them, give them good health, and to make sure that the spirits are happy. The Zulu also believe that they will come back in the form of dreams, and living things. They also believe in magic and voodoo. Overtime, most of the population was turned to Christianity by force.

Culture
Now, lets talk a lot about their culture and what they do in life. Every year, the Zulu people celebrate South African holidays like Shaka's Day in september, the Zulu celebrate and kill their cows, people also where traditional clothing on this day. People always mistake them for being fierce, but they are really kind and warm hearted people. When they greet each other, they do a handshake three times, and when they greet strangers, they say "Sawubona" which means hello. They also find it very rude to refuse and offer for anything, this is literally a slap to the face to them. The conditions the Zulu live in are similar to other tribes, the urbanize Zulu live in townships for blacks and areas surrounding cities. in urban areas, they are not different for anyone else and they are middle class families. In rural areas, a Zulu house can be a fenced Rondavel, and is most home for extended families. Speaking of family, the Zulu family is run by a man who is also a figure of authority and it is usual for a man to have multiple wife's. They clothing that they where is modern, but their traditional clothing is colorful, everyone also wears beads. Now for food; for their diet, they eat cows, curled milk, corn, yams, and fruits and vegetables. Like the Maasai, they only eat two meals a day. I have to go off topic here, but education is important to. education is improving in South Africa. but not much. Now back to where I was, the Zulu are also known for their singing and dancing, they also tell stories and folklore about their heritage. When they work, it is only men who have to work, men usually look for work in the cities and in the mines. During their free time, Young boys and men usually play their favorite sport, soccer. But for girls, they can only play typical games, but both boys and girls play in track and field. For their own entertainment, Urban Zulus have TV and in rural areas people throw celebrations for the whole community. The Zulu are also known for their artwork in weaving, craft making, pottery, and jewelry with beads.

Issues and Problems
A lot of problems occur within the Zulu people. Women and children have the fewest of rights within the group. The land of Kwa-Zulu-Natel has a lot of problems with each others their political parties, and some people in these groups have been killed during disagreements. alcohol and drugs are not an issue, but women who drink it are considered as lazy morals. South Africa constitution says that no one should discriminate each other, but Zulu speaking people still discriminate others. Women may not go out and work, but it is a mans responsibility, also polygamy still exists to them, and women cannot become chief or king.
